Troon is improving golfers’ convenience by acquiring CaddieNow.

I see an increasing number of club managers recognizing and embracing the importance of convenience in customer service and customer experience.

Convenience stores are popular because because they are convenient. They thrive despite competition from larger stores because they are located in neighborhoods or along commuting routes, making them easily accessible.

Shep Hyken’s 2023 State of Customer Service & CX found:

  • 48% say customer service is more important than price
  • 86% are willing to switch brands because another company will provide a better customer service experience
  • 76% will go out of their way to do business with a company that offers better customer service.

Troon also recognized the importance of convenience and acquired companies like ClubUp and CADDIEMASTER.

This takes another burden off the golfer’s shoulders, making it easier to achieve better results. This results in a better and more memorable experience at the golf club. It’s an actual win-win situation.

Troon’s latest acquisition is CaddieNow. Thus, Troon can offer private clubs, public courses, and resorts a full complement of caddie solutions based on a property’s individual needs.

Troon President and CEO Tim Schantz believes:

“With CADDIEMASTER, ClubUp and CaddieNow we can assist facilities in a variety of ways, including self-management models, third-party caddie management or simply providing the technology necessary to better manage a caddie program.”

Former CaddieNow President and COO Tommy Joyce recently joined the CADDIEMASTER team as the new Chief Operating Officer.

Joyce is an accomplished PGA Professional with extensive business experience in the caddie services and staffing industry.
