Do you know what professional awards Close House was nominated for?

There is considerable evidence indicating that increases in brand trust correlate with enhanced business outcomes for the brand.

Trust and credibility can be established by acquiring certifications and awards from authoritative organizations.

I encourage my clients to consider incorporating the following types of social proof to enhance their credibility, trust, and appeal:

  • Expert endorsements,
  • Influencers,
  • User-generated content (UGC) showcases real-life usage and authentic customer endorsements, making it a treasure trove of social proof.
  • Real-time activity notification: Real-time notifications of recent activities, such as purchases or sign-ups, can create a sense of urgency and social proof. These alerts can increase sales by leveraging FOMO.
  • Credibility and trust can be significantly enhanced by demonstrating a large customer base (=your golf club’s membership size)
  • Customer testimonials.

By prominently displaying these accolades on your website and social media platforms, you can effectively demonstrate that your product or service adheres to industry standards and has received recognition for excellence.

The Golf Course Awards has announced the 2024 finalists, featuring an impressive selection of 50 courses competing across 10 diverse categories.

That’s how I learned that Close House, in the heart of Northumberland, was recognized by being shortlisted in two categories:

  • Emerging Golf Course of the Year (established after 2000): Recognising rising stars in the golf course industry, celebrating new and recently renovated courses, and improving exponentially year on year.
  • Junior Golf Programme of the Year: Recognising the golf courses that have developed the most exceptional junior programs. Each of our finalists is fully committed to inspiring, educating, and empowering young golfers to develop their skills on and off the course. The Junior Masters started in 2017 alongside the British Masters held at Close House. Since then, Close House, with support from its associated professional Lee Westwood and PING Europe, has worked to enhance the event, making it more accessible and exciting for junior golfers throughout the UK.

I am confident that Close House embodies the spirit of excellence and has a remarkable opportunity to shine in the Junior Golf Programme of the Year category.

The prestigious Golf Course Awards honor exceptional courses in Great Britain and Ireland. A panel of judges determines the winners.

Finalists will gather at an awards ceremony at The Shard in London on December 5th, where 12 awards will be presented.
